VADOMO wall sconce: a corolla of light on the wall
The acrylic petals of this wall sconce open out on a gold aluminium frame, like a flower caught in mid-bloom. The contrast between the translucent veil of the petals and the gleam of the metal gives the model all its personality. At 35 by 50 cm, it is enough to fill a stretch of wall without crowding it.
Four LED sources on a G9 cap are supplied, for a power of 7 W and adjustable brightness. Warm white at 3000K underlines the gold reflections, while cool white at 4000K reveals more of the relief of the petals. The light carries from 3 to 5 metres, enough to light a seating area as a whole.
The art deco vocabulary, made of controlled curves and gold finishes, suits interiors that own a little theatricality. Above a bedside, the composition stands in for a painting to good effect. In a living room, it is enough on its own on a wall left bare.
