Bamboo wall sconce
Bamboo brings a living texture to wall-mounted lighting: pale fibres, slender canes, weaves that are tighter or looser. This selection of wall sconces gathers lightweight models designed to soften the light and warm a bare wall. Here the shadow counts as much as the brightness.
A plant fibre with a warm feel
Bamboo is worked in slats, in splints or in assembled canes. Its tone runs from straw blond to honey brown depending on the drying, and the surface keeps a slight relief that the hand notices straight away. Nothing is perfectly regular: the nodes, the shifts in tone and the visible fibres are part of the material itself.
Against an off-white painted wall or a lime-washed render, this material creates a discreet focal point. It sits well with linen, terracotta and pale oak furniture, in the same spirit as our wooden wall sconces, with added transparency.
Filtered light, never head-on
The weave acts as a sieve. Light passes through the gaps and casts regular patterns onto the wall and the ceiling, which clearly lowers any sense of glare. A warm-temperature bulb, around 2,700 kelvin, strengthens the golden tone of the fibre.
Some models hide an integrated source behind a diffuser, like our LED wall sconces, for a continuous halo with no visible bright point. Watch the output: beyond a certain level the shadow pattern thins out and the woven effect disappears.
The rooms that suit them
The bedroom remains the most obvious use. Placed on either side of the bed, a bamboo sconce replaces the bedside lamps and frees up the night table; our bedroom wall sconces bring together other formats suited to this height.
Bamboo also works in a hallway, where it punctuates a long wall without crowding it, and in a living room as a secondary light beside a reading chair. On a conservatory or a covered terrace, look towards a treated model sheltered from direct rain.

Woven bamboo wall sconce
The crossed splints draw a pattern that reads even when the light is off. The volume stays hollow, and therefore light, and fixes to a simple mounting plate. This is the most graphic version of the family.
Round shapes and domes
Round natural bamboo wall sconce
A half-globe set against the wall spreads light downwards and to the sides. The shape stays compact, which helps in a narrow passage where the depth of the fitting counts.
Mixed fibres
Bamboo and rattan wall sconce
Rattan brings curves that bamboo, being stiffer, does not allow. The pairing gives rounded shades with a denser texture, which filter the light further.
Think about the mounting height before fitting: at around a metre and a half from the floor, the projected pattern reads in full.
