Cut from marble, this piece plays on the natural veins of the material, white or black depending on the finish chosen. The polish quietly sends the light back and makes the look vary through the day. Choosing marble among wall sconces means installing an architectural element as much as a light fitting.
The E27 cap LED bulb supplied offers warm white 3000 K, cool white 4000 K or a daylight setting, over a range of 3 to 5 metres. The body channels the beam upwards and downwards, which produces two cones of light on the partition. The effect is bold, almost theatrical, and works well in an entrance.
Its generous dimensions, 54 cm high by 35 cm long and 13 cm wide, call for a clear wall. The 25 cm mount provides a wide fixing, suited to the weight of the stone. Between the art deco register and industrial rigour, it sits just as well on a dark wall as on a light render.
