KORIHA: a stylised shell in acrylic
The KORIHA takes up the ribs of a shell in an acrylic mounted on metal. At 16 cm wide and 30 cm high, it stays among the more manageable wall sconces while keeping a real design of its own. Black and gold share the mount and the 10 cm bracket.
The LED on a G9 cap is supplied and its intensity can be adjusted to suit the time of day. The two temperatures on offer, 3000 K and 4000 K, cover relaxing as well as reading. The stated reach runs from 3 to 5 metres.
At a bedside, the ribbing casts a pattern of shadows on the wall once the light is turned down. In a dining room or a living room, a pair frames a sideboard or a sofa. The IP20 rating means it belongs in dry rooms.
