VUVA wall sconce: a sphere hung from the end of the arm
The slim arm of this wall sconce holds a glass sphere in suspension, a few centimetres from the wall. Aluminium and metal make up the structure, glass takes care of the diffusion. Black and silver answer each other for a crisp, almost instrument-like result.
The LED source on a G9 cap is supplied and delivers 5 W in warm white at 3000K. This measured power is enough to create a soft halo over a reach of 3 to 5 metres. The IP65 rating makes it possible to consider fitting it in a damp room.
The 2 by 4 cm backplate stays tiny, which leaves all the attention on the sphere itself. In a living room, several of them in a row draw a discreet constellation. Above a dining room table, the light drops to eye level and frames the space of the meal.
