GUFUVO: a branch and its glowing globe
A fine set of branches in metal and resin moves away from the wall to carry a milky acrylic globe. The contrast between the nervous line of the branches and the full roundness of the diffuser creates a deliberate imbalance. Available in white or in black, this piece changes character completely with the finish chosen, more than most wall sconces.
The E27 cap LED bulb is supplied and lights in warm white 3000 K over a range of 3 to 5 metres. The globe gives out a round light with no visible hot spot, while the branches cast graphic shadows around them. The whole thing works better lit on its own, at the end of the day.
At 38 cm high, 26 cm long and 18 cm wide, it stands far enough off the wall to be seen at three-quarter view. The 10 cm mount stays hidden behind the branches. In white it blends into a Scandinavian interior, in black it becomes a drawing placed on a light wall.
