TIKOZOK wall sconce: a wood cylinder in a coffee tone
A plain wood cylinder, 17.5 cm high by 10.5 cm across: these wall sconces make no attempt at display. The coffee tone, warm and slightly greyed, leaves the grain of the wood visible. The raw shape openly claims its industrial lineage.
The supplied incandescent bulb draws 6 W and carries up to 10 metres. This kind of source gives an amber rendering, closer to a flame than to a fluorescent tube, and lends itself to the dimmed moods of late afternoon. The IP65 rating also tolerates air heavy with moisture.
Above a desk, the grazing light lifts the wall without reflecting on a screen. In a bedroom, two of them frame a bedside and take the place of the bedside lamps. Fitting is done on a plate 10.5 cm in diameter, supplied at 110-240 V.
