KAPEDO: a clear corolla with adjustable intensity
The KAPEDO cuts a corolla from a clear acrylic held by a gold mount. At 32 cm high and 20 cm wide, it is one of those wall sconces that catch the light on the edges of each petal. The 10 cm mount stays deliberately discreet to let the shape speak.
Its 6 W LED fits on a G4 cap and is not supplied, which leaves the choice of source open. The intensity is adjustable and the two temperatures, 3000 K and 4000 K, clearly change the atmosphere obtained. The reach covers 3 to 5 metres.
At a bedside, the low setting turns the fitting into a decorative night light. In a living room, the gold answers mirrors and picture frames, in an art deco spirit. The IP20 rating calls for a wall sheltered from damp.
