VILE: a volume of coloured metal set on the wall
Compact at 11.5 cm wide and 18.5 cm high, this wall sconce reduces lighting to its simplest form. The lacquered metal, available in green, black, red, beige or pink, brings the colour that the drawing denies itself. The whole sits on a 12 cm plate that stays discreet once installed.
The E27 cap takes the supplied LED bulb and gives out a warm white of 3000 K over 3 to 5 metres. The light gathers around the fitting, enough to create a halo beside an armchair or a worktop. The rendering stays soft, with no overexposed area.
The minimalist stance works just as well on its own as in a row along a hallway wall. Choosing a shade close to the existing paint makes it disappear; choosing a sharp contrast turns it into a focal point. Reserved for dry rooms, it carries an IP20 rating.
