LAHIROK: a gold cylinder for a precise light
The gold of the metal, paired with an acrylic diffuser, gives this cylinder of 17.5 cm high by 6 cm in diameter the look of a small wall jewel. The 6 cm mount takes exactly the width of the body, for a continuous silhouette with no break. In a selection of minimalist wall sconces, it is these tight proportions that make the difference.
The E27 cap takes a supplied LED source, in warm white at 3000 K. The beam runs down the wall over 3 to 5 metres and draws a crisp cone, useful for underlining a texture or a framed work. The intensity stays fixed, which guarantees a constant result from one switch-on to the next.
The narrow vertical format repeats easily: two units frame a mirror, three set the rhythm of a hallway wall. Gold works with dark wood as well as with white walls, and offsets the coolness of a very pared-back interior. A 90-260 V supply and IP20 rating for use in a dry room.
