SOVUZAS wall sconce: a sculptural volume in steel
With its 20 cm diameter and its 22 cm length, this steel wall sconce asserts a more generous volume than average. The sheet metal is lacquered matt black, with no stray reflection, which heightens the purity of the cylinder. The object reads as a sculptural piece even before it is switched on.
The E27 lamp holder takes an LED of 15 W maximum in 3000K natural white, a shade halfway between comfort and legibility. The cylinder channels the light into two well-defined columns, towards the ceiling and towards the floor. The whole lights over a distance of 3 to 10 metres.
This format is aimed at walls that have the room: a lounge wall, a stairwell, a large open area in a living space. The deep black structures a bright space and marries dark wood as readily as polished concrete. Installation in a dry interior, IP20 rating, on a 220-240V circuit.
