DIPU, the frosted glass column: a gentle vertical
A frosted glass tube 35 cm high and 10 cm across, held by a metal mount: the composition comes down to two materials. The white, blue and grey shades bring a cool note, fairly rare on this kind of fitting. Mounted in pairs, this wall sconce frames a door or a mirror with a great deal of poise.
Two E14 caps share the column and take the LED bulbs of your choice, not supplied. The frosted glass does all the work: it erases the hot spot and turns the source into a continuous glow. The beam covers 3 to 5 metres, enough to accompany a hallway.
The vertical shape visually stretches low walls, a useful effect in an attic bedroom. The glass and metal pairing slips effortlessly into a contemporary decor as much as into a more classic interior. The IP20 rating means dry rooms, on 90-260 V with an AC supply.
