DIFUTI wall sconce: two beams to sculpt the wall
Standing 20 cm tall and just 6.5 cm wide, this taupe aluminium model from our wall sconces asserts itself as a vertical line set on the wall. Its fluted surface catches grazing light and draws a discreet relief, whether the fitting is switched off or on. The neutral shade, neither grey nor brown, sits as well with pale renders as with deep paint colours.
Two GU10 sources send the output upwards and downwards, which avoids the single-spot effect and softens the contrasts on the wall. The warm white at 3000K carries 3 to 10 metres depending on the layout of the room. The permitted power reaches 10 W in LED, on a 220-240V supply.
Repeated along a hallway, it marks out the route without encroaching on the passage. On either side of a mirror or a sofa, it brings the kind of accent light you keep on through the evening. The IP20 rating reserves it for dry rooms, and its 8.5 x 6.5 cm mount fixes to plasterboard as well as to a solid wall.
