HEFOFI: a teddy bear and its luminous ball
Standing 52 cm high and 20 cm wide, this wall sconce stages the silhouette of a teddy bear holding a luminous globe. The resin sculpts the character, the glass forms the ball and the metal provides the structure. Five finishes are offered: gold, pink, silver, white and green.
The light leaves the glass globe and spreads gently over 3 to 5 metres, with no aggressive beam. Two settings are possible, cool white at 4000 K or the three colour version, depending on whether a play corner is being lit or sleep is being eased. The G9 cap bulb is not supplied.
This model is aimed first at children's bedrooms, where it plays the part of a familiar object as much as of a light source. The gold finish makes it less childlike and lets it dress a hallway too. Its designer hand avoids the pitfall of purely themed decoration.
