FAPI: a polished gold cylinder for a jewel-like light
The same 8 x 30 cm steel column takes on a polished gold finish here, smooth and reflective. The metal catches the ambient light and shifts in brilliance depending on the time of day, which is enough to bring a bare stretch of wall to life. On a wall sconce, this kind of glossy finish acts as much as a decorative accessory as a light source.
Two GU10 positions cast light towards the ceiling and towards the floor, each taking an LED of 10 W maximum. The double beam creates a luminous hourglass on the partition and carries up to 10 metres into the room. With no bulb supplied, you can match the tone to the rest of your lighting.
Gold works with warm tones, with dark woods and with pastel walls alike, and it is particularly effective in pairs above a console table or a bedside. Keep it to dry spaces, as its IP20 rating rules out areas exposed to splashes. The connection is made at 220-240 V, with wall plugs and screws to be chosen for your wall.
