The HISA wall sconce in glass and gold metal: a retro nod
Two small glass diffusers rest on a gold mount whose proportions recall the workshop lights of the past. The whole stays slim, with no sense of clutter, and pairs as happily with a period interior as with a recent scheme. It brings that touch of authenticity people sometimes look for in wall sconces.
The two G9 caps are left free: plan for warm white 3000K LEDs to preserve the softness of the whole. Seven watts are enough to light over 3 to 5 metres and to create a pleasant secondary light. The brightness is not adjustable, so the choice of bulb sets the mood.
Its 12.5 cm width, 31 cm height and 10 cm mounting plate make it a vertical model, easy to fit in pairs on each side of a bed. The IP20 rating sets it aside for dry rooms. The glass and the gold brighten a dark wall and blend into a light scheme.
