HIVES wall sconce: a gold circle with adjustable intensity
A gold metal ring 20 cm across, closed around its source: the shape stays simple and fully assumed. The gold finish throws the light back towards the wall and extends the halo well beyond the fitting. These wall sconces read as much as a graphic object as they do as a light source.
The E27 LED bulb, supplied, adjusts in intensity and offers a 3000K warm white as well as a 4000K cool white. The reach goes up to 10 metres, enough to cover a whole home office or a long hallway. The setting lets you move from a working light to a late evening one.
The IP65 rating makes fitting possible in rooms exposed to splashes. Above a desk, the ring frees up the field of vision where a standing lamp gets in the way. In a bedroom or a living room, the gold warms a wall painted in a cool shade, on a supply of 90 to 260 V.
