BODUMAN wall sconce: two glass globes on a gold frame
The gold metal frame carries two glass spheres of 10 cm each, staggered over a height of around 45 cm. The alternation between the pale brass of the structure and the milky roundness of the glass gives an object that reads from a distance but is never showy. This simplicity of means is typical of the Scandinavian models in our wall sconces.
Two G9 LED sources come with the light and spread a 3000K warm white over a range of 3 to 10 metres. The frosted globes absorb the harshness of the beam and give back an enveloping light, pleasant in a space you pass through where head-on lighting is unwelcome. The double source avoids shadow zones beneath the fitting.
Two configurations exist depending on where it goes: a single version mounted on a 10 cm mount, and a double version 44 cm high by 20 cm wide with a 12 cm mount. The first suits a narrow hallway, the second a stretch of living room or bedroom wall. The IP65 rating and the 90 to 260V AC supply widen the possible locations.
