KEVI, a gold cone: precious metal in the service of a simple shape
KEVI applies a gold finish to a conical steel shade 30 cm high and 14 cm wide. The contrast between a form of industrial inspiration and a gold treatment is what makes the model interesting. This one catches the eye before it is even switched on, which sets it apart from more retiring wall sconces and makes it a decorative object in its own right.
No bulb is supplied: the E14 cap takes an LED of 10 W at most, chosen according to the intensity you want. The gold reflects the light inside the cone and gives it a slightly amber tone. With a source at 3000 K, this warm effect is more marked still.
In a dining room, above a sideboard or in a run along a hallway, the gold answers from one fitting to the next. The connection is made at 220-240V, with an IP20 rating that assumes a dry room. Screws and wall plugs are not included.
