RAKUL, a concrete cylinder: raw material and a frank light
RAKUL is cast in grey concrete, a material rarely seen on a wall fitting and recognisable by sight as much as by touch. The cylinder measures 12 cm long by 10 cm high, with a 12 x 10 cm mount that takes up the same geometry. Where most wall sconces play on lightness, this one brings a mineral mass.
The G9 cap takes an LED bulb of 8 W at most, not included. The temperature chosen is a cool white of 4000 K, crisper and sharper than the warm white usual in living rooms. Over a reach of 3 to 10 metres, the light stays readable and frankly functional.
This pairing of concrete and cool light works particularly well in an industrial interior, a fitted workshop or a hallway in a run. The fitting is supplied at 220-240V and its IP20 rating reserves it for dry rooms. As concrete is dense, plan for suitable screws and wall plugs: they are not supplied.
