GENOBI, the taupe cylinder that softens walls: warm, understated light
The aluminium body of this model takes the form of a compact cylinder, 8 cm wide by 16 cm high, in a taupe shade that sits between beige and grey. This neutral tone gives it a calm presence, neither cold nor too assertive, which suits a pale render as readily as a wall painted in a deep colour. Among our wall sconces, choosing this shade lets you add a point of light without upsetting the colour balance already in place.
The GU10 bulb is not supplied, which leaves the rendering up to you: with a 3000K LED, the light takes on a warm yellow tone that warms the surface of the wall. The beam carries from 3 to 10 metres and lends itself to ambient lighting rather than general light. Power is capped at 10 W in LED, on a standard 220-240 V supply.
Its small size lets it slip into a narrow hallway, on either side of a mirror or above a console table. The IP20 rating reserves it for dry indoor rooms, away from splashes of water. Screws and wall plugs are not included: choose them to suit the type of wall, plasterboard, brick or concrete.
