FIZU wall sconce: woven bamboo and its filtered light
This fitting is entirely shaped in woven bamboo, in a natural beige that varies slightly from strand to strand. Two sizes are offered, 26 cm in diameter by 32 cm high, or 41 cm by 56 cm. The openwork weave lets the light escape through a thousand small points, which sets it apart from solid wall sconces.
The E27 cap takes an LED in warm white 3000K or cool white 4000K depending on the mood you are after. The beam covers three to five metres and projects the pattern of the weave onto the neighbouring wall. Lit up, the shell seems to dissolve.
This plant material brings texture to a bedroom, a living room or a dining corner with smooth surfaces. It gets along well with linen, terracotta and pale woods. The IP20 rating destines it to rooms sheltered from damp.
