GUTI: two plates, a clear contrast
This wall sconce lays two plates over each other, one orange, the other dark, in acrylic and metal. The offset between the two surfaces creates a cast shadow that gives thickness to a flat wall. The whole fits within 28 cm wide, with no marked overhang.
The built-in 6 W LED, bulb included, gives a cool white at 4000 K over 3 to 5 metres. The intensity is set, and the acrylic softens the edge of the beam instead of cutting it. The orange tone visibly warms up as soon as the lamp is switched on.
The chromatic choice works on a pale wall, in a kitchen, a living space or a dining room. In a bedroom, the coloured plate brings a point of colour without multiplying objects. The IP65 rating allows more exposed locations.
