NOKOFAS: a luminous flower for a child's bedroom
Painted metal petals surround a glass globe on this wall sconce, 16 cm wide and 18 cm high. Pink and white share the corolla, in a matt finish that avoids any garish effect. Its small format means it can be fixed at a child's height without crowding the room.
The G9 cap takes an LED to be sourced separately, in 3000K warm white for bedtime or 4000K cool white for playtime. Brightness is adjustable, useful for leaving a dimmed night light on without switching on the ceiling fitting. The 3 to 15 metre reach is enough to cover a whole bedroom.
Above a bed or beside a reading corner, it replaces a standing lamp that is all too easy to knock over. The diffusing glass softens the beam and limits direct glare. Like any IP20 fitting, it is installed in a dry room, away from any water point.
