NURODO: the fold of fabric as a diffuser
The NURODO works a pleated white fabric that softens the light before it even reaches the wall. At 25 cm wide and 18 cm high, it sits among the lower-profile wall sconces, easy to place above a piece of furniture. The plain white brings it close to the Scandinavian vocabulary, made of simple materials and calm lines.
The LED source is delivered with the fitting and switches between warm white 3000 K and cool white 4000 K. The 3 to 5 metre reach suits a living space as well as a wide hallway. The IP65 rating tolerates ambient damp, which widens the possible locations.
In a bedroom, the textile material absorbs reflections and avoids harsh contrasts on waking. On an office wall, it brings a continuous light with no distracting bright spot. In a dining room, two of them frame a sideboard with restraint.
