ZISAGO: the ribbed glass that sculpts the light
This wall sconce pairs a ribbed glass diffuser with a metal structure with clean edges. The flutes of the glass catch the brightness and cut it back into fine ribs, while the metal brings the hold and the contrast. Available in black, gold or clear, the finish is chosen to suit the wall that takes it.
The LED bulb with an E27 cap is supplied and gives out a warm white of 3000K over a reach of 3 to 15 metres. The light is not variable: it stays steady and warm, enough to light a whole room as well as to pick out a stretch of wall. The worked glass casts discreet patterns on the wall as night falls.
At 18 cm in diameter for 30 cm in height, the volume stays measured and slips in above a console table or along a hallway. Its vintage and industrial vocabulary goes with raw wood, brick and deep paint colours. The IP20 rating reserves it for the dry rooms of the home.
