HAPE, a large 50 cm taupe disc: light set on a circle
HAPE combines a circular metal plate 50 cm in diameter with a glass diffuser, for a total depth of only 14 cm. The taupe finish softens the industrial vocabulary of the metal and gives it a more muted look. Among wall sconces, this one behaves more like an architectural element than a simple point of light.
A single warm white 3000K G9 source lights in front of the disc and creates a play of soft shadow on the circle. The light produced keeps an indirect feel and covers an area of 3 to 10 metres. With no intensity adjustment, it is used above all as ambient lighting.
The generous format calls for a clear stretch of wall: above a sofa, in a stairwell or facing an entrance hall. The taupe suits white walls as well as coloured renders, and tempers a very mineral interior. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for the dry spaces of the home.
