SIKURU: a wooden disc inspired by sundials
The 30 cm diameter disc of this wall sconce combines wooden slats with a grey metal structure. The rays running out from the centre recall the graduations of a sundial, a pattern that reads even when the fitting is off. The matt finish and the grain of the wood assert a confident vintage character.
The G4 cap LED bulb is included and comes in 3000K warm white or 4000K cool white. The beam, with a 3 to 5 metre reach, slips between the slats and projects a pattern of rays onto the wall. Intensity stays fixed, designed for supporting light.
Its IP65 rating allows it to join a bathroom, provided the regulatory distances from water points are respected. In a stairwell, it marks the landings with a warm signal. The wood suits earthy tones, terracotta tiles and lime-washed walls.
