GUSI: a white disc with an eclipse effect
A white metal disc, offset to let the light filter out around the edge: this wall sconce plays on the idea of an eclipse. The matt finish catches the daylight without stray reflections and blends into a pale wall. Two diameters are offered, 30 cm in size S and 50 cm in size M, depending on the surface to be dressed.
The LED bulb is included and diffuses indirectly, projecting a ring of light onto the wall rather than a direct beam. Both 3000K warm white and 4000K cool white are available, for a 3 to 15 metre reach. Brightness is not adjustable: the intensity stays calibrated for ambient lighting.
In a living room, the large diameter acts as a graphic piece above a sofa. In a dining room, two discs of different sizes make up a small wall constellation. The white disappears on a tone-on-tone wall and stands out clearly against a dark render.
