MEGEL: a 33 cm black square with a clean line
Aluminium and metal make up a square frame of 33 cm, lacquered matt black, whose thickness is deliberately kept fine. The reflection-free finish absorbs the daylight and lets only the line appear. Among wall sconces, this one belongs to an architectural register, playing on the void as much as on the material.
The 21 W LED source is supplied and lights in warm white 3000 K over a range of 3 to 5 metres. The light follows the outline of the square and reflects onto the partition, creating a glowing frame rather than a single point. This effect works particularly well on a light or slightly textured surface.
The 33 × 33 cm format is large enough to stand alone above a sofa and restrained enough to be aligned in pairs in a hallway. The matt black stands out on a white wall and blends into a dark one. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry rooms, from the living room to the office.
