TIVUHUL wall sconce: a muted taupe for pale walls
Taupe sits between grey and brown, a soft shade that softens very white interiors. Applied to a 30 cm fluted aluminium cylinder, it gives a deep material that varies with the daylight. These wall sconces are aimed at muted decoration schemes, built on close tones.
Diffusion happens in two stages, towards the ceiling and towards the floor, from two GU10 lampholders. LEDs of 10 W maximum and a temperature of 3000K produce a warm clarity, never harsh. Over a distance of 3 to 10 metres, the TIVUHUL sets an atmosphere more than it lights a specific task.
In a bedroom, it goes with a linen textile and a dark wood without clashing with the whole. A hallway treated in taupe gains a continuity between the wall and the fitting, which then seems carved out of the partition. The plate of 8.5 cm by 6.5 cm stays hidden behind the body, in an IP20 indoor installation.
