MESU: a neutral taupe for a settled light
The taupe of the MESU belongs to those warm neutrals that go with almost anything, from off-white to deep grey. This wall sconce therefore suits interiors where the fitting should complete the decoration rather than command it. The opal acrylic globe, mounted on an aluminium base, rounds off a very pared-back whole.
Lighting is limited to a single light point in warm white 3000 K, with no variation in intensity or change of shade. The reach of 3 to 10 metres corresponds to ambient or secondary use more than to general lighting. The G9 cap stays open: no bulb is supplied, within the limit of 8 W in LED.
The format of 12 cm by 17 cm and the 6.5 cm bracket limit how far it stands out from the wall, an asset in a narrow hallway. The IP44 protection covers properly ventilated wet rooms. On plasterboard as on a masonry partition, the fixings still have to be planned separately.
