RUHA: ribbed glass and its vintage halo
Ribbed glass is its signature, setting it apart from smooth-shaded wall sconces: it cuts the light into fine ribs and casts a textured halo on the wall. Mounted on a metal frame, it comes in white, yellow or transparent depending on the effect wanted.
The LED bulb with an E14 cap is supplied; its 5 W are enough to cover 3 to 5 metres in warm white 3000 K, natural white 3000 K or cool white 4000 K. The diffusion through the glass stays soft, with no harsh bright spot. The intensity is not adjustable.
At 13.5 cm in diameter and 24 cm high, with a 10 cm mounting plate, it keeps modest proportions that are easy to repeat along a hallway. Its retro air goes as well with second-hand furniture as with a pared-back Scandinavian decor. To be fitted in dry rooms, as its IP20 rating indicates.
