A white glass shade fits onto the aluminium arm of this wall sconce. The glass lets a milky light through and hides the source entirely. Its 20 cm width by 26 cm length matches a classic domestic scale.
A 5 W G9 cap LED is supplied with the fitting, in warm white 3000K. The amber tone and the diffusion through the glass give a brightness close to that of a bedside lamp. Its three to five metre reach is enough to light a work surface or a bedside table.
In a bedroom, two units placed at pillow height free up the bedside tables. On a desk, the shade directs the light onto the surface without taking over the room. The vintage design sits well with wood and plain textiles.
