SAHI wall sconce: white roundness as a breathing space
On a wall of taut lines, this round model from our wall sconces introduces a breathing space that rectangular formats do not produce. The white ceramic, thick and matt, brings a mineral material of the kind found in handmade tableware. Its dimensions, 12 cm wide and 16 cm tall, make it visible without making it imposing.
The opal wall turns the point source into a continuous luminous surface, with no visible hot spot. A G9 cap of 8 W maximum in LED produces a warm white at 3000K covering 3 to 10 metres. The white of the ceramic returns the light without altering its shade.
The IP44 rating allows an installation exposed to splashes, for instance near a bathroom mirror. In a bedroom, the same sphere acts as an additional night light at bed height. The 11 cm mounting plate takes the fixings, to be chosen to suit the wall, on a 220-240V line.
