POBUZON wall sconce: an opal globe on an aluminium base
This piece among our wall sconces pairs an aluminium base with an opal acrylic globe, two materials that clearly separate the structure from the lit part. The uniform white of the whole lets it blend into a painted wall while keeping a legible silhouette. At 12 cm wide and 17 cm tall, it sits as happily at mirror height as above a door.
The opal acrylic spreads the output over the whole surface of the globe and avoids the harsh bright spot as you pass nearby. The G9 cap takes an LED of 8 W maximum for a warm white at 3000K covering 3 to 10 metres. The bulb is chosen separately, with no need for a dimmer.
Its IP44 protection makes it compatible with water splashes, a useful condition near a basin or a washbasin unit. Outside wet rooms, it lights an entrance hall or a landing with the same softness. The 6.5 cm mounting plate stays discreet and fixes to a solid wall or to plasterboard, with screws and wall plugs to be planned for.
