ZUDAL wall sconce: a solar sphere on the wall
The opal yellow of this piece among our wall sconces keeps a clear brightness even when switched off, which makes it a decorative object in its own right. The ceramic sphere, 12 cm wide and 16 cm tall, gives off a roundness that contrasts with the straight lines of the furniture. The material, dense and slightly satin, avoids the plastic look of translucent globes.
Once lit, the globe becomes an even source rather than a directed beam, which limits hard cast shadows. The G9 cap takes up to 8 W in LED and returns a warm white at 3000K over 3 to 10 metres. The yellow shade of the ceramic slightly colours the halo cast around the fitting.
In an entrance hall, it sets the tone as soon as the door opens and makes up for the absence of natural light. Thanks to the IP44 rating, it resists water splashes and can join a ventilated shower room. Its 11 cm mounting plate fixes to the wall on a 220-240V supply.
